Promotions for match officials
FIVE Suffolk match officials have received promotions in the first of four promotion windows during the 2023-24 season.
Daniel Barrack (pictured above) from Ipswich has been promoted from Level 6 to Level 5.
Four officials have received promotion from Level 7 to Level 6 – Victoria Anderson (Bury St Edmunds), Bob Fitzpatrick (Lowestoft), Adrian Hammond (Bury St Edmunds) and Calin Rogojan (Ipswich).
To achieve Level 7 to 6 promotion, candidates are required to officiate 25 matches with a minimum of 10 being open-age matches, pass a L7-6 specific Laws of the Game Test, complete two L7-6 specific online CPD modules, and receive two Matchday Coaching Visits.
The requirements for Level 6 to 5 are similar, although 15 of the 25 matches as a referee need to be within open-age football, also undertake five matches as an assistant referee, and complete four L6-5 specific online CPD modules.
Suffolk FA Referee Development Officer Jak Clark said: “All five of these match officials should be incredibly proud of what they have managed to achieve from the start of the season to this point.
“For them to be able to complete all the requirements for promotion shows great passion towards refereeing and is testament to their hard work and dedication.
“We at Suffolk FA look forward to continuing to assist them all on their next steps within the refereeing progression pathway.”
Future referee promotion windows during the 2023-24 season are December 31st, February 28th, and 30th April 30th.
