EIGHT Suffolk officials have achieved promotion in the third promotion window of the season.

EIGHT Suffolk officials have achieved promotion in the third promotion window of the season.

They were all promoted from March 1st, which is the third of four promotion opportunities during the course of the 2023-24 season.

Calin Rogojan and Victoria Anderson, who were both promoted from Level 7 to Level 6 in October last year, have now been promoted to Level 5.

The list of promotions is as follows:

February 2024

Lewis Howes - Youth 1-Youth 2

Ashley Moore - Level 7-Level 6

Mark Dyer - Level 7-Level 6

Aaron Etti - Level 6-Level 5

Ben Martin - Level 6-Level 5

Calin Rogojan - Level 6-Level 5

Jason Smith - Level L6-Level 5

Victoria Anderson – Level 6-Level 5

To achieve Level 7 to 6 promotion, candidates are required to officiate 25 matches with a minimum of 10 being open-age matches, pass a L7-6 specific Laws of the Game Test, complete two L7-6 specific online CPD modules, and receive two Matchday Coaching Visits.

The requirements for Level 6 to 5 are similar, although 15 of the 25 matches as a referee need to be within open-age football, also undertake five matches as an assistant referee, and complete four L6-5 specific online CPD modules.

Youth 1-Youth 2 candidates are required to referee 20 U14 matches, attend two online CPD modules, and receive two Matchday Coaching Visits.

Suffolk FA Chief Executive Richard Neal said: “Promotion is always a significant step in a referee’s progression, as recognition for hard work, dedication and a commitment to improve.

“I congratulate all of the officials who have achieved promotion from March 2024, and we look forward to supporting their continued development.”
