GLOBEX Freight Management Ltd’s support of Suffolk FA is entering its12th season.

One of the area’s leading specialists in logistics and shipping, Globex have been sponsoring the Suffolk Youth Referees’ Academy programme since the 2012-13 season.

The sponsorship was then widened at the start of the 2017-18 season to cover the development of all referees.

Andy Wilding, who along with wife Kim runs the Martlesham-based business which has more than 40 years’ industry expertise, said he never envisaged the partnership would be so long lasting.

He said: “No, not really, but because I visit the ITFC academy to coach the young referees, it is very satisfying to see them in attire emblazoned with our brand. It makes it worth the while repeating the sponsorship year-on-year!”

Andy said he enjoys the ‘feelgood factor’ of seeing the Globex brand on the referees’ kits and it makes him feel so proud.

Asked what he is looking forward to about the partnership most in the coming season, Andy replied: “Our name on referee kits, our name on Suffolk FA correspondence, our name mentioned on Suffolk FA media and on the Suffolk FA news pages.

“It is good to know that we are doing something good for football in the community, something I look forward to year-on-year.”
