KBB Grassroots Festival Sept 2021 1

Prepared for second pre-season festival

PREPARATIONS are in place for the second KBB Pre-Season Grassroots Festival.

PREPARATIONS are in place for the second KBB Pre-Season Grassroots Festival.

The festival, which is taking place at The New Croft in Haverhill on Saturday, is the second of three to be organised by Suffolk FA to launch the 2021-22 season.

Suffolk FA Football Development Officer (Retention) James Morley, who is organising the festival, said: “We are looking forward to the second in our series of KBB Suffolk FA Pre-Season Grassroots Festival, this time heading to The New Croft and the home of Haverhill Rovers FC.

“Being the second festival in our pre-season run, we are looking to build on the momentum of the first festival at Kesgrave High School which saw 106 teams participate.

“This is the first time we have run multiple festivals to start a season but following Covid we felt it was an opportunity to bring people together once again to start the season off with a fun festival to close off preparations for the 2021-22 season.

“This festival will be for teams aged U7 to U11 for 22 teams who have signed up to attend. Each of the festivals will be taking place under the format they will be playing during the 2021-22 season.

“This is an opportunity for those taking part to play teams they might not normally through the season in a fun environment. Haverhill Rovers will be great hosts as they always are having hosted our Youth Cup Semi-Finals in March 2019 and the Junior and Senior Cup Finals across the Bank Holiday at the end of May this year.

“We are looking forward to welcoming all teams and meeting everyone to enjoy the festival taking place this upcoming Saturday.”
