SUFFOLK official Abi Marriott has landed another prestigious appointment.

Abi will be fourth official at Saturday’s Women’s International Friendly between England and Brazil at Notts County FC. The match at Meadow Lane kicks-off at 12.30pm.

The 26-year-old, who lives in Mildenhall, will team up with three Portuguese officials – referee Sandra Braz Bastos and assistant referees Vanessa Alexandra Dias Gomes and Olga Marisa Martins Almeida.

This is the latest in a growing line of plum appointments for Abi, who was an assistant referee at the UEFA Women’s Champions’ League Qualifying Round in Lithuania in August.

In March of this year Abi (pictured above) refereed the 2018 Women’s FA Varsity Match and the following month she was referee for one of the SSE Women’s FA Cup Semi-Finals.

She was previously an assistant referee at the SSE Women’s FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in May 2017 and also at the Women’s Under-19 European Championship last October.
