A BUMPER crowd is expected for this season’s Suffolk Junior Cup Final on Thursday night.

A BUMPER crowd is expected for this season’s Suffolk Junior Cup Final on Thursday night.

The final at Portman Road, kick-off 7.30pm, is between Touchline SIL Division One rivals AFC Kesgrave and Trimley Red Devils.

The close proximity of both clubs to Ipswich and the fact they are both appearing in the first Junior Cup Final should ensure a good attendance.

Trimley Red Devils finished runners-up to Claydon this season to win promotion to the Senior Division, while AFC Kesgrave finished in seventh spot in the table.

In the semi-finals Trimley beat Bacton United 89, who were the holders, 2-0 at Felixstowe & Walton United FC, and AFC Kesgrave overcame Brandon Town 4-1 at Cornard United FC.

Admission to Thursday’s final is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions which applies to OAPS and children aged under-16.

Pre-school children accompanied by an adult will be admitted for £1.

The turnstiles to the Cobbold Stand, where spectators will be seated, will open at 6.45pm.

A souvenir programme, priced £1, will be on sale.
