A NEW name will appear on the Suffolk Junior Cup this season.

AFC Kesgrave beat Brandon Town 4-1 – after a goalless first half they scored four times in the second period – at Cornard United FC on Saturday.

Brandon Town, who also lost at the semi-final stage last season, pulled one back, but it is AFC Kesgrave who will contest this season's final.

Their win sets up a final against fellow Touchline SIL Division One side Trimley Red Devils, who had beaten holders Bacton United 89 2-0 at Felixstowe & Walton United FC the previous Saturday.

It is the first time that either AFC Kesgrave or Trimley Red Devils have reached the final, which will be played at Portman Road on Thursday, May 10th, kick-off 7.30pm.

To complete a good day for the club AFC Kesgrave Reserves reached the semi-final of the Touchline SIL Club Colours Cup courtesy of a 4-2 win at Tattingstone United.
