Grassroots match officials are considered to be self-employed and must take responsibility for their own individual finances in order to be compliant with HM Revenue & Customs.

By registering annually, referees are covered with Public Liability Insurance.

Should an individual wish to be covered for Personal Accident Insurance too, this is their own responsibility.
