Players - Ways to Play - Flexi Football

Monday Night Football

Sponsored by Haven Power

Do you want to play 11-a-side football, but can't commit to weekends? Maybe you are coming back from injury and aren't yet ready to play for 90 minutes? Or it maybe that you don't wish to play every week?

All the above are reasons why Monday Night Football may be suitable for you.

Suffolk FA launched their first Monday Night Football 11v11 League in Ipswich in February 2014.

The idea is to offer a flexible, competitive alternative to Saturday and Sunday football.

With more and more players struggling to commit to weekly games due to work, family and other social reasons, Suffolk FA wants to offer a flexible, competitive alternative to teams still wishing to enjoy 11v11 football.

Matches in Ipswich take place at Ipswich Academy’s full size 3G pitch in Braziers Wood Road, Ipswich IP3 0SP between 7pm and 10pm each week.

The leagues are for open aged players (16 upwards) with teams playing 50-minute games every other Monday throughout the season.

Mini leagues are held three times a season as follows: Spring (February to April), Summer (June to August) and Autumn (October to December) season.

With three separate short season players can take part in one, two or all three seasons.
