SUFFOLK County Schools’ FA can be proud of their achievements this season.

Both the Boys’ Under-15 and Under-16 sides lost their South-East England Schools’ FA Finals played in the past week - the first time SCSFA have had two representative sides reach finals in the same season.

The Boys’ U15 side lost 3-0 in their final versus Essex at AFC Sudbury a week ago on Tuesday, while the Boys’ U16 side went down 4-0 away to Sussex at Dorking FC last Saturday.

Despite the results, SCSFA Chair Robert Peace said those involved could hold their heads up high.

He said: "I am very proud of the teams and their achievements; it is a fantastic triumph for the teams to have reached the South-East England Schools’ FA finals.

“I appreciate the results were not what we wanted, but both teams should hold their heads up high for the performances they produced.

“On another day the results could have been different, but it was not meant to be this year.”
