SUFFOLK County Schools’ FA are closing in on making history.

SUFFOLK County Schools’ FA are closing in on making history.

The Boys’ Under-15 and Under-16 sides are both playing in finals this week after winning their respective semi-finals last month.

The Boys’ U15 side will face Essex at AFC Sudbury on Tuesday, while the Boys’ U16 side are away to Sussex at Dorking FC on Saturday.

Three Suffolk sides reached their respective semi-finals last month - the first time Suffolk have had more than one team progress to the last four of their competitions in the same season.

While the Boys’ U15 and U16 sides made it through to their finals, the Girls’ U16 side went down 3-0 away to Sussex.

SCSFA Chair Robert Peace said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Suffolk with the U15 and U16 boys close to making history for the county.

“I am very proud of the achievements of the players and coaches of the two teams and their accomplishments should be held in the highest regard.

“I am looking forward to both finals and hope they continue the form and performances that got them to the finals and the excitement of potentially bringing South-East England Schools’ FA winners’ trophies back to Suffolk.”
