THE semi-finalists have been decided in this season’s MH Goals Suffolk Women’s Cup.

AFC Sudbury, Brantham Athletic, Needham Market and Stowpuland Falcons are the four teams remaining in the competition.

AFC Sudbury were 5-0 winners against Woodbridge Town in Sunday’s quarter-final tie at the MEL Group Stadium.

That followed on from holders Needham Market defeating AFC Sudbury Reserves by the same 5-0 scoreline as they did in the semi-finals of the competition two years ago. They subsequently lost to AFC Sudbury in the final.

However, Needham Market Development lost 2-1 away to Stowupland Falcons, thereby ensuring four different clubs will be represented in the semi-finals.

The fourth side to take their place in the draw will be Brantham Athletic, who saw off Halesworth Town 8-0.

The semi-final draw will be broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk between 6.30pm and 7pm on Friday at the same time as it is announced via the Suffolk FA X (formerly Twitter) feed.

There were 28 goals scored in the three games played on Matchday 3 on Sunday in the Videndum Suffolk Girls’ Under-16 Cup on Sunday.

However, the outstanding McDonald’s Suffolk Primary Cup third-round tie between Unity and Boxford Rovers was postponed once again.

The two sides will try again this coming Saturday for the tight to host Ipswich Vale Exiles in the last eight.
