THE remaining Suffolk county cup quarter-finals are taking place this weekend.

There are 15 last-eight ties in the Videndum Suffolk Girls’ U12, U13, U14, & U15 Cups on Sunday morning, while all four Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup Quarter-Finals follow in the afternoon.

Kesgrave Kestrels could have two teams in the semi-finals of both the Videndum Suffolk Girls’ U12 and U13 Cups.

Both Waveney and Woodbridge Town could have as many as three teams reach the semi-finals across the four different competitions.

The two Lowestoft-based sides in the Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup face long journeys on Sunday.

Lowestoft Town will head from east to west to take on Moulton, while BOCA Norman Warriors will travel down the east coast to tackle holders Woodbridge Town.

Whitton Colts will be going in the opposite direction up the A12 to face AFC Hoxne, the 2017-18 runners-up.

The other tie is a local derby as Ipswich Vale Exiles Reserves host Ransomes Sports. IVE Reserves (red & black striped shirts) are pictured above in action in their third-round tie versus Hadleigh United (navy shirts) last month. IVE Reserves won 6-5 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

In the first quarter-final of this season’s Veo Suffolk Mixed U18 Midweek Cup, Bury Town needed penalties before progressing past Leiston.

Monday’s tie at the OCS Ram Meadow Stadium ended all square at 2-2 before Bury edged the shoot-out 6-5.
