THE quarter-finals of the Veo Suffolk Mixed U18 Midweek Cup start this week.

Bury Town and Leiston meet on Monday evening in the first of the three ties due to take place.

Both teams have previously reached the final, Bury Town losing 3-1 to AFC Sudbury in the 2017-18 season and Leiston finishing runners-up after being beaten 7-1 by the same opponents in the 2020-21 campaign.

This week’s other two ties are both on Thursday evening, and again involve two former finalists.

Stowmarket Town, who lost 4-1 to AFC Sudbury in the 2015-16 showpiece, host Haverhill Rovers.

Walsham-le-Willows, who went down 5-2 to AFC Sudbury in 2016-17 and again 4-1 in 2018-19, welcome Lowestoft Town to the Morrish Stadium.

The match between holders AFC Sudbury and Ipswich Town U16s is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 7th.

The delayed Portable Space Suffolk Mixed U13 Cup Quarter-Final between AFC Sudbury EJA and Needham Market EJA is taking place on Thursday of this week.

The winners will join Bury Town EJA and Leiston EJA in the semi-finals after they both won their delayed quarter-final ties that took place on Sunday.

AFC Sudbury EJA also had a big win to progress to the last four of the Portable Space Suffolk Mixed Under-15 Cup, while Coplestonains did likewise in their Videndum Suffolk Girls’ Under-14 Cup tie.
