TWELVE teams start out this weekend on the road to possible Parkers Pitches Suffolk Junior Cup glory this season.

There are six first-round ties scheduled for Saturday afternoon, featuring three teams to have reached the final of the McDonald’s Suffolk Primary Cup in recent seasons.

Elmswell, who were the 2019-20 runners-up, are away to Capel Plough.

Bardwell Sports and Kesgrave Kestrels, who met in the 2021-22 final, both have home ties – Bardwell Sports take on Stanton, while Kesgrave Kestrels entertain Stonham Aspal.

The one outstanding tie in both the CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup and the Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup are also on Saturday afternoon.

Leiston Under-23s host Brandon Town in the Suffolk Senior Cup, with the winners at home to Claydon in round two, while Bury Town U23s are at home to Brantham Athletic U23s in  the Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup.

The last remaining match in the first round of the Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup sees Moulton host Haverhill Rovers on Sunday afternoon.

Haverhill Rovers reached the final last season for the first time since winning the competition in the2013-14 season only to lose heavily to Woodbridge Town and so will be anxious to make up for that disappointment this time around.

Earlier in the day the Videndum Girls’ Youth Cups get under way with the first rounds of this season’s U12, U13, U14, U15 and U16 competitions.
