Veterans' Cup Draw Nov 2023

Old adversaries to meet in Vets' Cup

THE draw has been made for the third round of the Suffolk Veterans’ Cup.

OLD adversaries Bury Town and Woodbridge Town will meet in the third round of this season’s Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup.

The pair met in three consecutive finals, Bury winning in 2014-15 and 2015-16 and Woodbridge coming out on top in 2016-17.

Woodbridge, the current holders, will have home advantage in the last 16 tie at the end of January.

Bury Town Reserves, meanwhile, will travel to Ipswich to take on Whitton Colts.

The two Ransomes Sports’ sides also avoided each other in the draw – the first team will entertain Ipswich Wanderers in a local derby, while the Reserves are away to 2021-22 runners-up Lowestoft Town.
