MUTFORD & Wrentham will face Thurston in a repeat of last season’s semi-final in this season’s Parkers Pitches Suffolk Junior Cup.

They will face each other in the third round of this season’s competition to be played on Saturday, November 25th.

Thurston were one of three sides to find the next seven times away from home – Grundisburgh winning at Ipswich Athletic and Beccles Caxton triumphing by the same 7-1 scoreline at Saxmundham Sports. They will now face each other in the third round. Mutford & Wrentham, who won last season's semi-final 4-3, are pictured above before last season's final against AFC Kesgrave.

Somersham, who put 14 goals past Bungay Town Under-23s, will host Great Blakenham Chequers in round three.

Holders AFC Kesgrave put 11 past Kessingland without reply and will now travel to fellow Macron SIL Division One side Woolverstone United, who saw off Tuddenham Rovers 5-1.

In Saturday’s sole Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup tie Halesworth Town Reserves defeated Cornard United Reserves 3-0 to set up a quarter-final at home to Beccles Town Reserves.

In the Veo Suffolk Under-18 Midweek Cup first round on Thursday Cornard United won 3-1 at Ipswich Wanderers and will now entertain Leiston in the second round.

Another Cornard side, Cornard Dynamos Yellow, knocked AFC Sudbury ISFL out of the Portable Space Suffolk Mixed Under-13 Cup.

They won Sunday’s second-round tie 7-6 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.
