CORNARD United are through to the Veo Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup Semi-Finals.

CORNARD United are through to the Veo Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup Semi-Finals.

The West Suffolk side defeated Kirkley & Pakefield AFC Royals 2-0 in the quarter-finals on Thursday night to reach the final four of this season’s competition.

Cornard, who are currently fourth in the Thurlow Nunn League South Division, knocked out their visitors who occupy top spot in the East Division.

They will join AFC Sudbury, Ipswich Town Under-16s and Needham Market in the semi-final draw.

Needham Market had already secured their spot in next week’s draw thanks to a 6-1 victory over Mildenhall Town on Tuesday evening.

Holders AFC Sudbury overcome Hadleigh United 8-0 while Ipswich Town Under-16s saw off a spirited Brantham Athletic side 4-2 at Brantham Leisure Centre.

The semi-final draw will be announced on next Thursday’s Non-League Hour on BBC Radio Suffolk between 8pm and 9pm.
