Wanderers on road in first FA Trophy tie
IPSWICH Wanderers’ first-ever tie Isuzu FA Trophy tie will be away to Waltham Abbey.
Wanderers won promotion from the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division last season and will be competing at Step 4 for the first time in the club’s history, giving the club entry into the FA Trophy.
They will travel to Waltham Abbey, who play in Southern League Division One Central, in the First Qualifying Round on Saturday, September 9th.
If Wanderers win they will be at home to the winners of Heybridge Swifts and Barton Rovers in round two.
Wanderers do have a home tie in the Extra Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup versus Histon of the United Counties League Premier Division South on Saturday, August 5th.
New Bury Town manager Cole Skuse’s first foray into the FA Extra Preliminary Round will be a home match against Biggleswade United.
Mildenhall have a local derby at home to fellow Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Soham Town Rangers.
The Hall also face a local derby in their Isuzu FA Vase First Round Qualifying tie – away to Ely City – on Saturday, August 26th.
There’s one all-Suffolk tie in the FA Youth Cup Extra Preliminary Round – Framlingham Town will host AFC Sudbury in a match to be played week commencing, Monday, August 14th.
