Semi-final berths beckoning in cup
THE Portable Space Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup semi-finals are beckoning for six sides on Saturday.
Hadleigh United Reserves are already in the draw for the final four following their 4-0 victory over Stowmarket Town Reserves on Wednesday evening, but who will join them?
There will be at least one side from the Macron SIL as Division Two outfit Claydon Reserves face Haughley Reserves of Division Three. Claydon Reserves (blue shirts) are pictured above in action against Great Blakenham Chequers (grey & white striped shirts) earlier this season.
A third SIL side, Third Division Ransomes Sports Reserves, will aims to cause an upset when they host higher-league Cornard United Reserves from the Thurlow Nunn League Reserve Division.
The third tie is the north Suffolk derby between Fosters Solicitors Anglian Combination duo Bungay Town Reserves, who play in Division Five South, and Beccles Town Reserves of Division Two.
The only match listed for Sunday is the remaining Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup Third Round tie between Stowupland Falcons and Woodbridge Town.
The winners will host AFC Sudbury in next month’s quarter-finals.
