Kirton look to cause last-eight cup upset
KIRTON Athletic will be looking to cause an upset in the quarter-finals of this season’s Parkers Pitches Suffolk Junior Cup.
The Macron SIL Division Two side have been drawn away to runaway Division One leaders Thurston in the last eight.
Somersham, who sit second behind Thurston, will need to successfully negotiate an away trip to Stanton, 4-0 winners against Clare Town in last Saturday’s third round, if they are to reach the final four.
Kesgrave Kestrels will look to defeat higher-league opposition when they go to Grundisburgh, while divisional rivals Achilles and Woolverstone have been paired together in the other tie.
