Best Badges sponsorship launch Aug 2023

Best Badges again up for the Sunday cups

BEST Badges will once again sponsor the four adult male Suffolk Sunday Cups this season.

BEST Badges will once again sponsor the four adult male Suffolk Sunday Cups this season.

The Ipswich-based business sponsored the Suffolk Sunday Cup, Suffolk Sunday Shield and Suffolk Sunday Trophy as well as the Suffolk Veterans’ Cup for the first time last season.

This followed on from their support of the Suffolk Veterans’ Cup in each of the previous two seasons.

The finals of all four competitions traditionally take place on ‘Suffolk Super Sunday’ when they are played on the same day at the same venue.

Best Badges Ltd will continue to supply the medals for all the Suffolk county cup competitions during the 2023-24 season.

They supply badges and promotional merchandise to a wide-range of customers, including the Suffolk Youth Football League as well as clubs and associations, Guiding and Scouting groups and creative artists, charities and businesses.

Richard Maydell, Business Manager at Best Badges, said of their support of grassroots football: “Our company works closely with sports clubs and with individuals who have a passion for their sport, so the link to grassroots football is a very natural one for us.

“The sense of community, co-operation, and enthusiasm for a shared interest are all core values of the varied customer base that we work on behalf of, so we really appreciate the opportunity to give our support through the Suffolk FA.”

Richard explained how the agreement benefits Best Badges, who are based on the Hadleigh Road Industrial Estate in Ipswich.

He said: “The county cup competitions offer the perfect association for our company, as we hope to play a part within the grassroots eco-system by making it easy and affordable for people to design badges or to develop items for fundraising.

“The relationship pairs Best Badges directly with our customer base and gives us a really positive platform to showcase our products and services.”

Richard said why sponsoring four competition and not just one was beneficial to the business.

“Sponsoring the four male Sunday cups has given us the chance to boost our presence and visibility. It means we can make a bigger statement, which reflects our enthusiasm for supporting local clubs both within grassroots football and beyond,” he said.

Suffolk FA Marketing & Communications Officer Nick Garnham said: “We have enjoyed working with Richard and the team at Best Badges since they came on board and so are delighted this will continue for the 2023-24 season.

“The company make a wide range of badges, medals and promotional products which we would encourage our clubs and leagues to consider for this season and beyond.”
