Parkers Pitches to sponsor cup again

PARKERS Pitches are to sponsor the Suffolk Junior Cup for a third successive season.

PARKERS Pitches are to sponsor the Suffolk Junior Cup for a third successive season.

The sports turf maintenance firm have been working with Suffolk FA since 2019, starting with the Pitch Improvement Programme, before extending their association through sponsorship of the competition.

Parkers Pitches, who are based in the Bury St Edmunds area, regularly carry out work on more than 50 football pitches across Suffolk, as well as maintaining rugby and cricket pitches.

Owner Will Parker said: “As lovers of sport, particularly sport in our home county, it means a lot to the team at Parkers Pitches that we can support grassroots football through sponsorship such as the Parkers Pitches Suffolk Junior Cup.

“We are proud to work with so many clubs across East Anglia, and it’s so rewarding to be able to follow the progress of these teams throughout the season.

“It’s always a great atmosphere when we as a team get to attend the cup final match as we did last season at Colchester United’s Stadium.”

Looking forwards, Will said: “I hope we can continue to play a role in Suffolk Football in the years to come. Through our continued partnership with the Suffolk FA, and relationships with Groundsmen across the county, we are seeing clubs expanding, improving their pitches and producing fantastic football. We are proud to play our part in it all.

“We know first-hand how much goes into keeping a club not only functioning but thriving, and with more matches being played, and more teams appearing, we continue to grow ourselves in efforts to keep up!

“We are always investing in the best equipment possible, staying up to date with the best practices in pitch care and making sure we are in a position to support and educate wherever we can.”

Suffolk FA Marketing & Communications Officer Nick Garnham said: “Will and his team are great supporters of grassroots football, and we are grateful for their continued support.

“That they are actively involved with so many of our clubs makes the partnership even more special.

“We are looking forward to the Parkers Pitches Suffolk Junior Cup being as well-contested as ever this season.”
