Holders drawn at home to Hadleigh
HOLDERS AFC Sudbury will entertain near-neighbours Hadleigh United in the quarter-finals of this season’s Veo Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup.
Mildenhall Town, who progressed 5-4 on penalties following a 2-2 draw with Ipswich Wanderers, will be away to Needham Market.
Beccles Town will be at home for the third tie running, if they can overcome Cornard United. The two sides were scheduled to meet on Thursday evening as the draw was tasking place, but the match was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The winners will face Kirkley & Pakefield AFC Royals.
The winners of the Bungay Town versus Brantham Athletic tie, which was postponed on the original date and is now scheduled for next Tuesday, will host Ipswich Town Under-16s, who will concede home advantage even though they were drawn out first.
The draw was released simultaneously on BBC Radio Suffolk’s Non-League Hour and the Suffolk FA Twitter feed on Thursday night.
