Groundsmen invited to tour factory
SUFFOLK groundsmen are invited to a behind-the-scenes factory tour.
The tour of the Bury St Edmunds Sugar Factory site on Hollow Road is taking place from 2pm-4pm on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022.
A maximum of 20 people will be allowed on the tour, which will start with tea and coffee.
This will be followed by a tour of the sugar process. This will be from the Sugar Beet received at the factory to the sugar it produces and packages as Silver Spoon Sugar.
The tour will include TOPSOIL production including Sports & Turf topdressing and Landscape20 topsoil.
Suffolk FA Football Development Manager Matt Stebbings said: “This is a great opportunity for Suffolk grounds staff to experience something a little bit different and for football to say thank you for all their hard work.”
