However, the biggest winners among the ten ties that took place were Claydon ‘A’ who beat Bramford United Reserves 8-1.

A single goal was sufficient to settle the outcome of two matches – Coplestonians ‘A’ overcoming Kesgrave Kestrels and Laxfield advancing at the expense of Mendlesham.

Only one tie was decided by a penalty shoot-out – Brantham Athletic ‘A’ going through 6-5 following a 1-1 draw at Needham Phoenix.

The third-round draw will be announced on Thursday, December 15th after the remaining six scheduled game have taken place this Saturday.

There was no shortage of goals in the third round of this season’s Best Badges Suffolk Sunday Trophy – 43 in eight ties at an average of 5.375 per game.

Bedfield led the way, hitting double figures away to Ipswich opponents Phoenix, while AFC Dragonfly netted seven times for the second round in a row, this time at home to The Brickmakers Arms.

Felixstowe-based The Panthers and West Suffolk Wolves both scored five times as they booked their place in Thursday’s quarter-final draw.

This will be broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk’s Non-League Hour between 8pm and 9pm and filmed to run simultaneously on the Suffolk FA Twitter feed.

Mildenhall Town defeated Kedington 4-1 in their Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup second-round tie postponed from the previous weekend.
