Neighbours to meet in Women's FA Cup
TWO Suffolk sides will meet in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup First Qualifying Round.
East Bergholt United will play neighbours Brett Vale in the opening round on Sunday, September 11th, kick-off 2pm.
The two other Suffolk sides both have home tries – Brantham Athletic will be at home to Mulbarton Wanderers and Haverhill Rovers will entertain Essex side Stanway Rovers.
Haverhill Rovers will host Brantham Athletic if they both get through to the Second Qualifying Round, which is on Sunday, October 2nd, again with 2pm kick-offs.
However, there will be one confirmed all-Suffolk tie as Bungay Town welcome AFC Sudbury, while the winners of the East Bergholt United versus Brett Vale tie will be on the road to Sprowston in Norfolk.
Beccles Town and Needham Market have both been drawn away – to Fakenham Town and Histon respectively.
Ipswich Town, who last season reached the quarter-finals before losing 1-0 at home to Women’s Super League side West Ham United, will enter the competition at a later stage.
