The Ipswich Sunday Football League club are calling it a day after 14 years at the end of the current campaign.

The club face Laxfield United in the final of the Veo Suffolk Sunday Shield as part of ‘Suffolk Super Sunday’ as four adult men’s cup finals are played on one day.

Needham Market FC are hosting this year’s finals, with two matches scheduled on the main grass pitch and two on the 3G pitch at Bloomfields.

Leiston Orient won the Suffolk Sunday Shield in the 2016-17 season and are undefeated since the turn of the year. They sit fourth in Division One of the ISFL – two places and five points behind their opponents.

The Suffolk Sunday Cup Final will see Kitchener Taverners attempt to retain the trophy they won last season, having also tasted success in the 2017-18 campaign.

The Ipswich Sunday Football League side, who have not conceded a goal in their three ties so far this season, will face first-time finalists Moreton Hall Youth Ferals.

The West Suffolk side currently top Division One of the Premier Logos Bury & District Sunday League.

The Sunday Trophy Final pits two sides against each other looking to secure a treble-winning season.

Both AFC Claydon (ISML Division Three) and Bacton United 89 (BDSL Division Three) have already secured league and league cup success.

In the Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup Lowestoft Town will be making their first appearance in the final against Whitton United, winners of the competition for the past three seasons.

Whitton United are second in the Norfolk & Suffolk Veterans’ League Premier South, while Lowestoft Town lead Premier North.

Admission to the finals is via ticket only, with no cash admission on the day. Tickets can be purchased via the Suffolk FA website www.suffolkfa.com
