GROUNDSMEN were treated to a topdressing demonstration in Suffolk.
The event on Tuesday afternoon was organised by British Sugar TOPSOIL at the Victory Ground in Bury St Edmunds.
Ten groundsmen across various sports, including clubs affiliated to Suffolk FA, attended the demonstration which featured the following:
- British Sugar TOPSOIL Manager Andy Spetch did a Sports 10 goalmouth renovation session
- Will Parker of Parkers Pitches did a topdressing demonstration
- Tom Shinkins of GKB did a deep tine aeration demonstration
Collier Turf Care Ltd supplied the seed for the event at the ground which is home to Sporting 87 Football Club and Bury St Edmunds Cricket Club.
British Sugar TOPSOIL Senior Sales Manager Natalie Gudgin said: “It was lovely to see so many people turn up and to hear them sharing their experiences and ideas.
“The challenges they face are by no means unique and the event gave them the opportunity to discuss how best to overcome them.”
