A DOUBLE celebration will be taking place at Portman Road on Tuesday evening.
More than 100 guests will be attending the Suffolk FA Awards Ceremony sponsored by McDonald’s and Jacobsen Ltd.
The Awards Ceremony will be for both the 2020 and 2021 winners of The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards as last year’s event had to be postponed due to Covid.
The Awards Ceremony will also see Referee Long Service Awards for both 25 and 40 years’ continuous service presented plus the 2020 Groundsman of the Year winners will receive their prizes.
After the conclusion of the Awards Ceremony guests will enjoy a meal in the Sir Bobby Robson Suite before watching Ipswich Town play Doncaster Rovers in their Sky Bet League One fixture.
Suffolk FA Marketing & Communications Officer Nick Garnham, who has organised the evening, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Portman Road.
“Last year’s winners, in particular, have had to be very patient while we have been waiting for the go-ahead to organise an event on this scale, but we wanted to ensure their achievements are celebrated accordingly.”
