THE draw has been made for the Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup second round.

THE draw has been made for the Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup second round.

Stowmarket Town’s reward for a 2-1 victory at last season’s runners-up Leiston on Thursday night is another away tie, this time against Walsham-le-Willows.

Felixstowe & Walton United, who lost to Leiston in last season’s semi-finals, edged out Whitton United 4-3 on Thursday and will now make the short trip to Ipswich Wanderers in round two.

Ipswich Town Under-16s, who beat Bury Town 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw on Monday evening, will face Haverhill Rovers.

As Ipswich will conceded home advantage against Rovers, who were the highest scorers in the first round, the tie will be played at The New Croft.

Lakenheath will entertain the winners of the tie between Kirkley & Pakefield and Sporting 87, which was postponed on Thursday night due to floodlight failure.

Action is pictured above from last season’s semi-final between Leiston (blue shirts) and Felixstowe & Walton United (red & white striped shirts) at Framlingham Town FC which Leiston won 6-0.
