Chance to get advice on grass pitches
SUFFOLK clubs are being invited to welcome the Regional Pitch Advisor to their venue.
Julien Morris, who is Regional Pitch Advisor for the Grounds Management Association, will be visiting the county on Wednesday, November 24th.
Clubs interested in receiving a visit are asked to complete the expression of interest form below.
Suffolk FA Football Development Manager Matt Stebbings said: “Although we will not be able to get out to visit all clubs, we would like to get out to as many clubs that would be interested in Julien coming to see them as possible.
“This could be for support with a Pitch Power assessment or general advice and guidance and a walk around the facility. The visit will enable clubs/venues to fully understand the Pitch Power assessment and how to complete one.
“The visit will also be able to identify any problems and solutions that clubs, and venues may be facing and also funding opportunities available to them in relation to grass pitch improvements.
“The Regional Pitch Advisor will be able to give general advice and guidance specific to your club/venue and where improvements can and should be made.
“If you could complete the short form via the below link we will then be able to timetable those clubs that are interested in a site visit.
“At this stage we will be prioritising those sites within the Local Football Facility Plan and the grass pitch venues that are on our priority list for improvements.
“However not everyone will want a visit, so even if you are not on this list and would like a visit please do complete the expression of interest.”
