Fellow Macron SIL side Melton United were 6-1 winners away to another Lowestoft side Waveney ‘A’, while near-neighbours Wickham Market won 3-0 at home to Wenhaston United.

Mutford & Wrentham, last season’s runners-up, are through to the last eight after a 4-2 victory over Saxmundham Sports., while Cockfield United also found the net four times to oust Somersham.

The day’s other tie saw Cavendish got through 5-4 on penalties after a goalless draw at Elmswell, who lost 4-3 to Melton United in the 2019-20 McDonald’s Primary Cup Final.

The draw for the quarter-finals will be announced via the Suffolk FA Twitter feed on Monday, December 6th at 3pm.

Macron SIL Senior Division leaders Claydon knocked Cornard United out of the CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup.

They became the second SIL side to defeat Thurlow Nunn League Division One South opponents in this season’s first round and will now host Henley Athletic in the second round on Saturday.

The remaining second-round Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup tie between Lakenheath Reserves and Bungay Town Reserves was postponed.

The wet weekend weather account for three second round ties in the Best Badges Suffolk Veterans’ Cup, while three more were settled by penalty shoot-outs.

Capel Plough, Coplestonians and Occold all advanced after coming out on top from the spot against Thurlow, Kesgrave Kestrels and Ipswich Vale Exiles Reserves respectively.

Ipswich Vale Exiles’ first team went down 8-2 at AFC Hoxne , while the only other tie settled inside 90 minutes resulted in a 4-2 win for Hadleigh United at Wickham Market.

The draw for the third round will be announced via the Suffolk FA Twitter feed at 4pm on Monday.
