Leiston through to their first U18 final
LEISTON are through to the final of the Blue Square Solutions Suffolk Boys’ U18 Midweek Cup for the first time.
They defeated Felixstowe & Walton United 6-0 in Tuesday night’s semi-final to set up a final against holders AFC Sudbury, who defeated Ipswich Wanderers 11-0.
Rarely can there have been a more dramatic start to a semi-final match than that hosted by Framlingham Town FC.
Leiston scored three times inside the first three minutes through Drew Connick, Oliver Godbold and Kyle French to leave the Seasiders shell-shocked.
Even when Felixstowe keeper Reiley Calton saved a penalty, he conceded another as he tried to gather the rebound and this time Tyler Blair made no mistake.

Kolinio Biaukula made it 5-0 at half-time, and although Felixstowe produced a better second-half display, Leiston added a sixth late on through substitute Josh Bailey.
Holders AFC Sudbury showed no mercy towards Ipswich Wanderers in their semi-final played on the 3G pitch at Needham Market FC.
Shane Temple, who has been on trial recently at several professional clubs, scored a hat-trick in their 11-0 victory.
There were two goals apiece for Josh Ambrose, Alfie Adams and Luke Hipkin, while Jesper Laurence scored in time added on.
The final will be played on the 3G pitch at Bloomfields on Thursday, May 27th, kick-off 7.30pm.
