STOWMARKET Town have been handed a home draw in their first FA Buildbase Trophy tie.

STOWMARKET Town have been handed a home draw in this season’s FA Buildbase Trophy First Qualifying Round.

The tie versus Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday, September 25th will be the club’s first in the competition following their promotion to Step 4.

If they go through Stowmarket face a long trip to either Chicester City or Whitstable Town in the Second Qualifying Round a fortnight later.

Both AFC Sudbury and Bury Town have home ties – against Cray Valley PM and Wisbech Town respectively – while Felixstowe & Walton United make the trip over the border into Essex to face Maldon & Tiptree.

In The Buildbase FA Vase First Qualifying Round on Saturday, September 11th, ties involving Suffolk clubs include Brantham Athletic v Holland and Long Melford v Little Oakey.

A third Suffolk versus Essex fixture sees Ipswich Wanderers travel to Harwich & Parkeston.

If Debenham LC can overcome Peterborough Northern Star they will travel to Kirkley & Pakefield for an all-Suffolk tie in the Second Qualifying Round two weeks later.

Mildenhall Town come into the competition at that stage and will face a local derby away to Ely City.

There are four all-Suffolk ties in the FA Youth Cup Preliminary Round during the week commencing August 30th 2021.

The pick of the ties is Needham Market’s match at home to AFC Sudbury, while Leiston will face Framlingham Town, Stowmarket Town will entertain Walsham-le-Willows and Woodbridge Town will host Ipswich Wanderers.
