The Central & South Norfolk League Division Three side won 3-1 at Samuels in Saturday’s third-round tie to reach the last eight of this season’s competition.

The other seven remaining sides all play in the Macron SIL, with two of them progressing after their ties went to penalties.

Framlingham Town ‘A’ won for the third consecutive round following a shoot-out – this time 5-4 following a goalless 90 minutes at home to Thurlow of the Kershaw Cambridgeshire League. William Levett-Scrivener is pictured above scoring the decisive penalty.

Cockfield United Reserves conceded, and then saved, an injury-time penalty as they drew 3-3 at Great Blakenham Chequers, who then went through 4-3 in the subsequent shoot-out.

Wickham Market Reserves saw off Haverhill Town Youth of the Kershaw Cambridgeshire League 3-0, while Lowestoft & District League side Spexhall Huntsman & Hounds conceded their tie at home to Gipping Gnats.

There were big wins for Bardwell Sports, 7-0 at AFC Kesgrave Reserves, and Kesgrave Kestrels, 5-0 at home to Hadleigh United Brettsiders.

The other match saw Hope Church defeat fellow SIL Division Three side AFC Wanderers.

The draw for the quarter-finals will be announced via the Suffolk FA Twitter feed at 3pm on Monday.

East Bergholt United will now travel to Needham Market Reserves in the quarter-finals of the CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup. Jamie McGrath netted a hat-trick as they defeated Sudbury Sports 5-0 in Saturday’s first-round tie.

The outstanding first-round match between Waveney and Old Newton United will take place on Saturday, January 8th 2022.
