SPORTSGUARD have been chosen as the preferred insurance provider of Suffolk FA for the 2021-22 season, replacing Bluefin Sport.
Suffolk FA Chief Executive Richard Neal said: “We have enjoyed a good partnership with Bluefin Sport, but we made this change because we recognise finances are going to be challenging over the next twelve months and Sportsguard are offering equivalent or enhanced covers at more competitive prices across both Public Liability and Personal Accident insurances.
“Whilst we adopted the National Game Insurance Scheme, Sportsguard have continued to partner with a number of County FAs, most notably Norfolk FA in our region.
“I would like to place on record our gratitude and best wishes to Bluefin Sport, but we now look forward to leagues, clubs, teams and players having access to excellent cover with a company we know well from seasons past.”
Richard added: “We all hope 2021-22 will see a return to a more normal season of local football. Aided by funding from Sport England, through The FA, we have been able to offer a number of further subsidies on insurances which have been outlined to clubs and leagues.
“A full outline of timeframes, process’, and costs associated with affiliation ahead of the 2021-22 season, will be announced in due course.”
Richard Culley, a director of Sportsguard, said: “On behalf of the whole of our team, we are delighted to welcome football clubs in Suffolk to our schemes.
“We were formed over 30 years ago with the vision of supporting grassroots football, we are delighted to support football clubs in Suffolk for season 2021-22 onwards.
“Our whole team look forward to working with you.”
