Both teams to be at 'home' in cup final
HUMBER Doucy Lane will be the venue for the 2019-20 CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup Final.
Landlords Ipswich Wanderers will face their tenants Coplestonians on their shared ground in the final on Tuesday, October 6th, kick-off 7.45pm.
Both clubs were keen to stage the match at Humber Doucy Lane, which will provide a ‘neutral’ venue without either side have to travel.
Wanderers (blue shirts) are pictured in action above against Claydon (red shirts) in their 2-1 victory in the first round of the competition.
Coplestonians reached the final thanks to a 5-4 victory on penalties over Crane Sports following a 1-1 draw in Last Friday’s semi-final at Needham Market FC.
They had to wait until Wednesday night to find out who their opponents will be, with Wanderers staging a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Henley Athletic at Whitton United FC.
The semi-finals and final, which were due to be played before the end of last season, were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Tickets for the final will be made available via the Suffolk FA website from Monday.
