Breda to host Hardy in Sunday Shield tie
THE draw has taken place for the third round of this season’s Suffolk Sunday Shield.
Breda, leaders of Division Two of the Bury & District Sunday League, will host Ipswich Sunday Football League Division Two side Hardy, who were 10-2 winners against Melford Swan in round two.
Hardy, of course, won the delayed 2019-20 Suffolk Sunday Trophy Final, defeating Thrasher United 4-3 in the final at Needham Market FC.
Hardy (light blue shirts) are pictured in action in that final against Thrasher United (red shirts) on ‘Super Sunday’ last month.
BDSL Division Two side Baltic United, who progressed 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at Trimley Raiders last Sunday, have another away tie – at holders Haverhill & Hove Albion.
Suffolk Sunday Shield Third-Round Draw: Bury Bowl or Gipping Gnats v Eastbury Eagles, Gainsborough Utd v Playford, Breda v Hardy, Westbourne Warriors v The Feathers, Lakenheath v Boleyn, Haverhill & Hove Albion v Baltic Utd, Taverners v Occold, The Racing Centre v Barrow.
