Boys U18 Midweek Cup 2019

Goals galore as U18 Midweek Cup starts

THERE were goals galore in the Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup.

THERE were goals galore in the first round of the Blue Square Solutions Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup.

Seven ties yielded a total of 52 goals at an average of 7.42 goals per game in Thursday's matches as the 2020-21 Suffolk Boys’ Under-18 Midweek Cup (pictured above) got under way.

Holders AFC Sudbury and Leiston both netted double figures away from home, while Ipswich Town Under-16s found the net eight times.

The wet weather caused the postponement of the only two fixtures arranged for the weekend – Saturday’s sole CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup tie and Sunday’s Suffolk Veterans’ Cup Final.

The Veterans’ Cup Final has been re-scheduled for Sunday, October 18th at a venue to be confirmed.

The delayed 2019-20 final of the CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup is taking place on Tuesday night along with four second-round ties in the Turners Hyundai Suffolk Premier Cup, with two more on Wednesday.
