New team to play in Women's Cup Final
EITHER Brett Vale or East Bergholt United will play in the final of the HomeStore Self Storage Suffolk Women’s Cup for the first time.
Neither of the two teams, who were drawn against each other in the semi-final of this season’s competition, have previously reached the last four. They will meet at Hadleigh United’s Millfield ground.
The other tie will be a repeat of last season’s final between Ipswich Town and Needham Market. Ipswich triumphed 8-0 in the showpiece final at Portman Road to win the cup for the fifth successive season.
That tie will take place at Greens Meadow, home of Stowmarket Town.
The draw was made during BBC Radio Suffolk’s Thursday Night Sports Social programme and was carried out by co-host David Mann and Darren Hogg, joint manager of East Bergholt United. David (left) and Darren (right) are pictured above in the studio.
