Wait and see for big Primary Cup winners

THE draw has been made for the third round of the Suffolk Primary Cup.

THE two biggest winners from round two will have to wait and see who they will face in the third round of this season’s McDonald’s Suffolk Primary Cup.

Sporting 87 Reserves, who won 16-1 at Bury Town Rams, will be at home to Clare Town Reserves or Great Blakenham Chequers.

Meanwhile, Grundisburgh Reserves, who were 11-1 winners at Kessingland, will travel to either Normanston Magpies or Coddenham Athletic.

AFC Waveney, who saw off Hawthorn United 8-1 in the second round, will make the short trip down the A12 to face Leiston ‘A’.

Witnesham Wasps, the 2013-14 runners-up, will entertain Wickham Market Reserves. Witnesham Wasps (red & black striped shirts) are pictured celebrating a goal in the final against Adhara (yellow shirts) at Woodbridge Town FC. Adhara won 5-4 on penalties following a 4-4 draw.

The eight outstanding second-round ties are scheduled to take place on the same date – Saturday, January 9th – as those third-round matches that are ready to go ahead.
