Wanderers' delight over FA Cup entry

IPSWICH Wanderers are ‘over the moon’ to be in the 2020-21 Emirates FA Cup.

CHAIRMAN Steve Boyle said Ipswich Wanderers are ‘over the moon’ to be in the 2020-21 Emirates FA Cup.

The Thurlow Nunn League Division One North club have been accepted into the competition for the forthcoming season.

The Humber Doucy Lane outfit, who last played in the FA Cup two years ago, have missed out on several occasions in recent seasons.

Boyle said: “As a club we’re over the moon to receive the news that we’ve made the hat for the FA Cup after missing out in recent seasons.

“The last few years have been tough for the club, but we now feel we’re back on track, and competing in the FA Cup this year will give everyone involved at the club a massive lift.

“The FA Cup remains an important lifeblood for non-league clubs, especially this season when revenue streams have been hit. Now hopefully for an attractive home draw!”

Wanderers, along with other Suffolk clubs at Step 5 and 6 of the National League System, will be involved in the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round on Tuesday, September 1st.
