Beccles bidding for fourth win in a row

THE Suffolk FA Walking Football Cup is taking place on Saturday.

BECCLES Town will be bidding to win the Suffolk FA Walking Football Cup sponsored by Replay Maintenance for a fourth consecutive season on Saturday.

Seven teams will be lining up to take part in this year’s competition at Goals in Ipswich, start 1pm.

Having previously competed under the names of New Saints (2015-16) and Beccles Vets (2016-17) prior to being victors as Beccles Town in 2017-18, the holders face tough competition from six other teams. The winning Beccles team is pictured above with Suffolk FA Chairman Phil Lawler (back row, far left) after last year's tournament.

One of those will be Cornard United Dynamos, the team that pipped Beccles Town in the Suffolk qualifying round of the FA People’s Cup earlier in the season.

This year sees a group of teams playing in a festival competition alongside the Walking Football Cup teams.
