Sunday Cup semis venues confirmed

BURY Town and Stowmarket Town will host this season’s Suffolk Sunday Cup semi-finals.

BURY Town and Stowmarket Town will host this season’s Suffolk Sunday Cup semi-finals.

The all-Bury & District Sunday League tie between Horringer Social Club and Tostock Pirates will take place at the Denny Bros Stadium, home of Bury Town FC.

The match between BDSL side Gym United and Ipswich Sunday Football League opponents Borussia Martlesham will be held at Stowmarket Town FC.

Both ties will be staged on Sunday, March 3rd, kick-offs 10.30am.

Horringer Social club defeated Howards 2-1, while Tostock Pirates knocked-out holders Kitchener Taverners 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in their quarter-final ties.

Gym United were 3-0 winners at Felixstowe Harpers and Borussia Martlesham came out 6-4 victors over Mellis in the last eight.

The final will take place at Bloomfields, home of Needham Market FC, on Sunday, April 28th as part of Super Sunday which will feature four county cup finals on one day – the Suffolk Sunday Cup, the Suffolk Sunday Shield, the Suffolk Sunday Trophy and the Suffolk Veterans’ Cup.
