THE semi-final line-ups are now complete in most of the Suffolk FA county cup competitions.

In the Days Sports Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup (pictured above) Stowmarket Town, Trimley Red Devils and Walsham-le-Willows will join Framlingham Town in Thursday’s semi-final draw.

Last season’s runners-up Stowmarket required penalties to oust hosts Waveney, while Walsham-le-Willows were 6-1 winners at Long Melford.

Trimley Red Devils, who top Division A in the Touchline SIL, caused an upset with a 3-1 defeat of Hadleigh United, who are third in the Thurlow Nunn Reserve League.

AFC Sudbury A, Bedricks Worth, Old Newton United Reserves and Thurston are through to the last four in this season’s Suffolk Primary Cup.

Thurston and Old Newton United Reserves both scored five times away from home against Woolverstone United Reserves and Cavendish respectively.

AFC Sudbury A were impressive 4-0 winners at FC Whitehorse, while Bury St Edmunds-based Bedricks Worth overcame Carlton Colville Town 4-2.

Gym United, the 2014 and 2015 winners, moved to within 90 minutes of a place in this season’s final of the Suffolk Sunday Cup, after a 3-0 victory over Felixstowe Harpers.

They will now face Ipswich Sunday Football League side Borussia Martlesham.

The other semi-final will be between Bury & District Sunday League sides Tostock Pirates, the 2016 winners, and Horringer Social Club, who defeated Howards 2-1 on Sunday.

Both ties will be played on Sunday, March 3rd 2019, kick-offs 10.30am.

Needham Market, playing in their first season in the HomeStore Self Storage Suffolk Women’s Cup, have reached the last four of the competition.

They led East Bergholt United 3-0 at half-time, but the visitors pulled two goals back in the second period, before Needham held on to go through.

Haverhill Rovers won 4-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw at Woodbridge Town, while holders Ipswich Town, who beat Brantham Athletic 14-0, and AFC Sudbury, 5-0 winners at Coplestonians, both eased through.

The semi-final draws for the Days Sports Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup, the Suffolk Primary Cup and the HomeStore Self Storage Suffolk Women’s Cup will take place in this week’s Thursday Night Sports Social on BBC Radio Suffolk during the non-league hour between 8pm and 9pm.
