Good night for two Ipswich-based sides
IT WAS a good night for the two Ipswich teams in the CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup.
Both Ipswich Wanderers and Ipswich Town Under-18s won their second-round ties on Tuesday to reach this season’s quarter-finals.
Two second-half goals from Danny Thrower, the second from the penalty spot, saw Wanderers defeat fellow Thurlow Nunn League Division One side AFC Sudbury Reserves 2-0 at Humber Doucy Lane.
That win sets up a home tie against Macron SIL Senior Division outfit Old Newton United.

Ipswich Town Under-18s were comfortable 5-1 winners at Framlingham Town, with Zak Brown netting a hat-trick and Fraser Alexander and Cameron Stewart one apiece.
Max Willett gave the home team a brief glimmer of hope when he scored after 48 minutes to make the score 2-1, but Stewart restored the two-goal advantage just three minutes later.
Ipswich Town will now travel to SIL Senior Division side Henley Athletic in the last eight on February 1st next year.
The revised quarter-final line-up is as follows:
Cranes Sports v Leiston Reserves
