HOMESTORE Self Storage are to continue sponsoring the development of female football.

HOMESTORE Self Storage are to continue to sponsor the development of female football in Suffolk.

The company, who have storage facilities at Ransomes Europark in Ipswich and Anglian Lane Industrial Estate in Bury St Edmunds, have sponsored Suffolk FA for the past four seasons.

HomeStore’s sponsorship for the 2019-20 season will cover the HomeStore Self Storage Suffolk Women’s Cup as well as the Girls’ Development Centre at Ipswich Academy in Braziers Wood Road.

The HomeStore Self Storage Suffolk Women’s Cup Final attracted a record attendance at last season’s final between Ipswich Town and Needham Market at Portman Road of 769, underlining the growing support of the women’s game in the county.

The GDC will continue to run on Monday evenings from September through until May for girls aged under-10 through to under-16.

The programme supports girls in the county’s female player pathway to provide opportunities for additional training, half-term fixture programme and opportunities to link with the FA Girls’ Advanced Coaching Centre programme.

Martin Tuck, managing Director of HomeStore Self Storage, said: “HomeStore Self Storage is very pleased to renew our sponsorship with Suffolk FA for the Girls’ Development Centre and Suffolk Women’s Cup for the 2019-20 season.

“With our self storage centres based at Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, we provide storage services for many individuals and businesses within Suffolk, so we are proud to support the local area in any way we can.”

Suffolk FA Chief Executive Richard Neal said: “Our relationship with HomeStore Self Storage has allowed us to elevate the Suffolk Women’s Cup and to take the final back to Portman Road last season, attracting a great crowd who made for a fantastic atmosphere.

“We’ve also developed talented young players who have in-turn bolstered female teams across the county.

“I’m delighted our extended relationship will allow us to continue both of these elements as we continue to strengthen female football within Suffolk.”

The first round draw for this season’s HomeStore Self Storage Suffolk Women’s Cup will be broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk during their Saturday afternoon sports programme between 2.30pm and 3pm.
