THE application window is now open for the Suffolk Coaches Academy for the 2019-20 season.

The Academy’s aims are to support coaches in the county by providing personalised support to aid their development, whilst establishing networking opportunities with other pro-active coaches.

Taking feedback on-board from current and previous members, coupled with the strong intention to make this a prestigious nationally acclaimed programme, there are some exciting new developments incorporated into the programme, with a key development being Regional Associations that will make events more accessible and geographically specific, these will cover the following three regions:

North (encompassing Lowestoft, Aldeburgh & Eye)
South (encompassing Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Ipswich & Hadleigh)
West (encompassing Sudbury, Haverhill, Newmarket & Bury St Edmunds)

These will allow for local events that are tailored to the Academy members in that area.

Suffolk FA Senior Football Development Officer, Darren Scoulding said: “We are excited to announce the re-launch of this programme and are looking to recruit a number of new coaches from across the county to join the Academy for this coming season.

“The creation of regional associations will allow us to provide a more personalised development journey for coaches in the programme and they will benefit from key components such as FA Coach Mentor Support, events that cover topics such as Mental Health and People Management and exclusive Academy member discounts.”
