HADLEIGH United, the 2015 winners, are in action this weekend in the Days Sports Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup.

The Brettsiders lifted the cup following a dramatic final against Crane Sports ended 4-4, before they won 4-2 on penalties at Brantham Leisure Centre.

The Thurlow Nunn Reserve League side have home advantage on Saturday and will be favourites to progress to the second round against Touchline SIL League B opponents Claydon.

That is one of five ties scheduled for Saturday afternoon, with three all-SIL matches and one all-Thurlow Nunn Reserve League encounter.

That sees Whitton United, the 2014 losing finalists, entertain Haverhill Rovers, who were runners-up in the 2016 final.

Sunday morning sees ties taking place in the Crown Imperial Boys’ Under-12, Under-13, Under-14 and Under-16 Cups.

In the after there are 14 matches scheduled in the first round of this season’s Suffolk Veterans’ Cup.

Bury Town, the 2015 and 2016 winners, will be at home to AFC Thurlow.
